Yet another fake Indian Image-Look and Learn
Here is the description for this fake, another seller who has crossed to the dark side, or was hit with a stupid stick! The last line in his auction says it all.
"This image was taken of the Arikara Scout Lame Dog in 1868 at fort Laramie according to a slip of paper that came along with the picture. I don't know if it is Lame dog or whether it was taken at fort Laramie in 1868 but it is a nineteenth Century tintype of an Indian wearing a bone hairpipe breastplate with a Remington Revolver. the bonus is the fact that this image is backed by a second tintype of a Whiteman (Indian Agent?) regardless both are in decent shape and the Indian is very desirable. the case is in good condition having its hinge repaired long ago with cloth Library tape. Payment must be received within 10 days of sale. Please pay online or with money orders as checks delayshipment. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance charges. Seller provedes a 3 day examinsation period. However refund will only be considered if item is not as described and pictured. Seller reserves the right of final determination"
