What the hell kind of return privilege is that? "If you convince us"? The sellers name is (email me and I will tell you). Look and learn my friends. These are modern fakes and the addition of the embossed confederate seal does not make it real. In fact is the auction states it has an "authentic" confederate seal on the image you know it is a fake. Same with any confederate stamps placed on the back of cdv's. It did not happen in the war. It was created by an idiot who wants your unsuspecting money. Beware my friends.
His auction description:
"This is a wonderful small photograph of General Longstreet in his younger years. It is 2-5/8"s by 4"s. I have another image of him I am selling tonight that shows him as an older man. This contains an embossed seal that states "The confederates states of America 1864". This tells me the photo was made and sold as a souvenier just after the war. The seal does not indicate it is a one of a kind item but I believe it to definetly be a limited edition. This is a wonderful opportunity to own a museum quality item. Due to bidders request we have decided to make this a private auction. We buy our merchandise in good faith from many sources but do not take the time or expense to have them professionally authenticated. Please note this when bidding. Our images depict the items very accurately. We offer a 7-day return privilege if you convince us we have misrepresented the item.
