Civil war letter(?) written on patriotic "Racine College" stationary by Corporal Aaron Eley of the 5th Independent Battery of the Wisconsin Light Artillery.
Entitled “The Wisconsin Volunteer” it appears to be poetry that Eley either wrote himself or copied.
Superb content (see scan below).
In very good condition. Nice early war Wisconsin related item.
