U.S. Model 1872 cast brass enlisted man’s rectangular buckle & belt, identified on the inside of the leather belt in old ink to "J. N. Dunlap, 1st Sergt. Co. B, 46th U.S.V."
The plate measures approximately 3 3/8” x 2 1/8”. Face features “US” within an oval. Even bronze patina overall. There is an arrow hook on back. Integral belt loop cast onto end of buckle. Complete bridle leather belt with keeper riveted to one end and brass adjuster hook on the other. Wear as shown in the images. The photographs do not do this identified belt justice. It is awesome in person!
