Great John P. Soule stereo of P. T. Barnum at Yosemite. In 1870, the famous performer visited Yosemite (He is standing second from left, in front of Yosemite Fall). On June 5, Barnum arrived at the La Casa Nevada hotel on the trail between Vernal and Nevada Falls and signed the hotel register (now in the Yosemite Museum collection). Under his signature, he wrote: "Unsurpassed and unsurpassable -- look around with pleasure and upward with gratitude."
In fine condition with wear as shown.
