One page period ink regimental chaplain's letter complaining about Secretary of War Stanton! The letter reads as follows:

"Mrs Alexander
I am very sorry to say that Sec. Stanton of the War department has refused me passes, on the grounds of "Anticipated movement of troops."
We are all very much disappointed, but we must bear up under this as we have other and similar earthly ills-
