Corporal Horace Webster Whitney. Horace enlisted from Claremont, NH Aug 20, 1861 at age 25 in Co. E, U.S. Volunteers 1st Sharp Shooter Regiment on Sept 9, 1861.
He was promoted to Corporal on Dec 3, 1861. He mustered out Mar 14, 1862 at Washington, D.C.
In fine condition as shown in the photographs, the shadow is my camera.
