West Point graduation photograph of First Lieutenant John A. McKinney, 4th U.S. Cavalry. McKinney was killed by hostile Indians on November 25, 1876 at Crazy Woman Creek in the battle with the Northern Cheyenne Dull Knife and his warriors.
